Your entries are hitting very close to home for me! Besides the Kamiah ones, which are in my backyard, we drove through Harvard yesterday on the way to Emida.
I'm half expecting a photo of my house in your next entry. ;)
Diana--I would like to search closer to your side of the world for other populations of Warren's kittentail -- both of its parents are in the area. As well as being along the South Fork of the Clearwater, the mountain kittentail is also up near Whitebird Pass. The intensity of agriculture around your town has likely extirpated most of the red kittentail, although there are a few localized populations on grassy slopes here and there.
And I will be passing through your town in the next few days when I head for the desert.
